Ferryhopper Affiliate Program – Terms & Conditions

By joining and participating in the Ferryhopper Affiliate Program, you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before promoting Ferryhopper.

1. Participation in the Affiliate Program

The Ferryhopper Affiliate Program allows approved partners (“Affiliates”) to promote Ferryhopper and earn a commission on eligible bookings generated through their approved promotional activities and affiliate links.

Ferryhopper reserves the right to approve or reject applications at its discretion and may request additional information about an Affiliate, its website, channels or promotional methods.

Affiliates must provide accurate and up-to-date information and may only use the Affiliate Program for legitimate promotional activities in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.

Participation in the Affiliate Program is non-exclusive. Affiliates remain free to promote other companies and services, and Ferryhopper may work with other affiliates and partners.

2. Commission and Payments

Affiliates earn commission on eligible bookings generated through their affiliate links, according to the commission rate applicable to their account or otherwise agreed with Ferryhopper.

Commission is calculated as a percentage of the total booking price of eligible bookings.

Bookings may be excluded from commission where they are cancelled, refunded, fraudulent, duplicated, generated through prohibited methods, or otherwise do not meet the requirements of the Affiliate Program.

Commissions are paid on a monthly basis, subject to a minimum payout threshold of €100. Amounts below this threshold will roll over to the following payment period until the threshold is reached.

Affiliates must provide all required payment, invoicing and tax information and any legally required documentation in order to receive payment.

Ferryhopper reserves the right to withhold or reverse commissions relating to bookings that are subsequently cancelled, refunded, identified as fraudulent, or otherwise found to be ineligible.

3. Affiliate Promotion & Responsibilities

Affiliates may promote Ferryhopper through websites, content, social media and other promotional channels that have been approved as part of their participation in the Affiliate Program.

Affiliates must:

  • promote Ferryhopper accurately and transparently;

  • ensure that their promotional content does not mislead users;

  • clearly distinguish their own content and services from Ferryhopper;

  • use affiliate links and promotional materials provided or approved by Ferryhopper where applicable;

  • comply with all applicable laws, regulations and advertising requirements; and

  • maintain websites and promotional channels that are appropriate and relevant to Ferryhopper's brand.

Affiliates must not make claims about Ferryhopper, its services, prices, routes or offers that are inaccurate or have not been authorised by Ferryhopper.

Affiliate traffic should provide genuine value to users and should not be generated solely for the purpose of redirecting users to Ferryhopper.

4. Paid Search & Brand Protection

Affiliates may promote their own content through paid advertising, provided that all campaigns comply with these Terms & Conditions.

Affiliates may not bid on Ferryhopper trademarks, brand names, misspellings or variations of the Ferryhopper brand in paid search campaigns without prior written approval from Ferryhopper.

This includes keywords containing “Ferryhopper” or “Ferryhopper.com”, including combinations with terms such as destinations, routes, tickets, booking, discount, coupon, promo or similar terms.

Affiliates must not use the Ferryhopper brand name in paid advertising copy, headlines, display URLs or through dynamic keyword insertion without prior written approval.

Affiliates may use generic, non-branded keywords, such as “Greek island ferries” or “ferry from Athens to Santorini”, to promote their own websites, landing pages or editorial content.

Affiliates may not directly link paid advertisements to Ferryhopper through an affiliate link. Paid advertising should direct users to the Affiliate's own website, landing page or editorial content before referring them to Ferryhopper.

Affiliates must not create advertisements or landing pages that could reasonably lead users to believe that the Affiliate is Ferryhopper or that the Affiliate's website or service is operated by Ferryhopper.

5. Coupons, Incentives & Promotional Practices

Affiliates may only advertise discounts, coupons, promotional codes or special offers that have been provided or expressly approved by Ferryhopper.

Affiliates must not create or communicate their own Ferryhopper discount codes or misleading claims regarding discounts, prices or promotions.

Any cashback, loyalty, incentive or other promotional activity that may affect the way users interact with Ferryhopper must be disclosed to Ferryhopper and may require prior approval.

6. Third Parties and Sub-Affiliates

Affiliates may not allow third parties, sub-affiliates or other promotional partners to promote Ferryhopper on their behalf unless this activity has been approved by Ferryhopper.

The Affiliate remains responsible for the activities of any third party acting on its behalf and must ensure that such parties comply with these Terms & Conditions.

Ferryhopper may request information about the websites, channels or promotional methods used to generate affiliate traffic and bookings.

7. Ferryhopper Brand & Intellectual Property

Ferryhopper grants Affiliates a limited, non-exclusive and revocable right to use Ferryhopper's approved logos, trademarks, images, links and other promotional materials solely for the purpose of promoting Ferryhopper through the Affiliate Program.

Affiliates may not modify, reproduce, register, claim ownership of, or otherwise use Ferryhopper's intellectual property in a manner that has not been authorised.

Affiliates may not represent themselves as Ferryhopper, act as an agent of Ferryhopper, enter into agreements on Ferryhopper's behalf, or otherwise create the impression that they are authorised to represent Ferryhopper.

Upon termination of the Affiliate relationship, Affiliates must stop using Ferryhopper's trademarks, promotional materials and other intellectual property.

Each party retains ownership of its own intellectual property, including trademarks, logos, content, designs, technology and other proprietary materials.

8. Prohibited Activities & Compliance

Affiliates must not use the Affiliate Program to:

  • generate fraudulent, artificial or otherwise invalid traffic or bookings;

  • use misleading, deceptive or unlawful promotional practices;

  • use spam, unsolicited communications or other prohibited marketing methods;

  • impersonate Ferryhopper or create confusion regarding the relationship with Ferryhopper;

  • engage in trademark infringement or unauthorised paid search activity;

  • promote Ferryhopper alongside illegal, offensive or inappropriate content;

  • manipulate affiliate tracking, attribution or commission generation; or

  • engage in any activity that may damage Ferryhopper's reputation, brand or commercial interests.

Ferryhopper reserves the right to investigate any traffic, bookings or promotional activity that it considers suspicious or inconsistent with the Affiliate Program.

9. Customer Relationship

Users who complete a booking through Ferryhopper are customers of Ferryhopper.

Ferryhopper is solely responsible for processing Ferryhopper bookings, setting prices, collecting payments, managing booking changes and cancellations, and providing customer support in relation to Ferryhopper bookings.

Affiliates must not represent that they are responsible for providing Ferryhopper's booking services or customer support.

10. Monitoring, Suspension & Termination

Ferryhopper may monitor Affiliate activity, traffic and bookings to ensure compliance with these Terms & Conditions.

Ferryhopper may suspend or terminate an Affiliate's participation in the program if the Affiliate:

  • breaches these Terms & Conditions;

  • engages in prohibited or misleading promotional activity;

  • generates fraudulent, invalid or suspicious traffic or bookings;

  • misuses Ferryhopper's brand or intellectual property; or

  • otherwise acts in a way that may negatively affect Ferryhopper or its customers.

In such cases, Ferryhopper may withhold or reverse commissions relating to ineligible bookings or activity.

Either party may terminate the Affiliate relationship at any time.

Following termination, the Affiliate must immediately stop using Ferryhopper's affiliate links, promotional materials, trademarks and other program-related assets.

Any valid commissions earned before the effective date of termination remain subject to the applicable validation and payment process.

11. Confidentiality

Affiliates may receive non-public information relating to Ferryhopper, including commercial, technical, operational or performance information.

Affiliates must keep such information confidential and may use it only for purposes related to their participation in the Affiliate Program.

This obligation does not apply to information that is publicly available, was lawfully known to the Affiliate before disclosure, is independently developed, or must be disclosed by law.

12. Data Protection

Each party must comply with all applicable data protection and privacy laws, including applicable Greek and European Union legislation.

Each party is responsible for complying with the data protection obligations applicable to its own activities and processing of personal data.

Affiliates must not collect, use or process personal data through their participation in the Affiliate Program in violation of applicable privacy or data protection requirements.

13. General Terms

Participation in the Ferryhopper Affiliate Program does not create an employment, agency, partnership or joint venture relationship between Ferryhopper and the Affiliate.

Neither party has authority to enter into agreements on behalf of the other party or otherwise bind the other party.

Ferryhopper may update these Terms & Conditions or modify the Affiliate Program from time to time. Where appropriate, Affiliates will be informed of material changes.

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Greece.

The parties will use reasonable efforts to resolve any disagreement or dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms & Conditions amicably.

If the parties are unable to resolve the dispute, the competent courts of Athens, Greece shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms & Conditions.
